Watching the Jerry Lewis directed movie, the errand boy. One of the gags is Morty climbing up a ldder to get kids jelly beans. And this exact bit was done on the abbott and costello show, another of my all time favorite laughfuls. Cept it was liquorice stead of jelly beans. Was it cool that everyone did the same jokes? Did audiences want these killer jokes over and over? I don’t get it, I really don’t but I’m so compelled to know the true reasoning behind this masquerade of comical delight.
